À propos
Aleph, pianist – composer – arranger – bandleader, and Art Director at 8e Art Entertainment, was born in Lebanon on the 7th of June 1980.
Aleph shares the stage with some soloists from 8e Art, such as Kanj, Raed and Labex, as well as international artists with whom he is collaborating on his upcoming album. To name a few: Antonio Serrano, Diego Galaz, Paquito Gonzalez, Yelsy Heredia.
His natural gift, charisma and tremendous generosity make him so magnetic once he steps on stage.
As a pianist, Aleph is broadly known for his fingering ability, rhythmic play and easiness in improvisation and adaptation. His wide experience has enabled him to cover all styles.
Yet, his hybrid oriental style and harmonies infused with western world music is what defines him and makes his sound rich, exotic and catchy. “With him, everything seems so harmonious and fluent, and the piano doesn't seem to suffer.”
A self-taught genius, Aleph only believes in personal effort, intuition, and practice. He does, however, recognize willingly that his “academic detours” offered him a solid classical end technical foundation.
In addition, Aleph puts forward a performance that one would definitely not forget, with a perfectly balanced mixture of aggressiveness and sensitivity.
Being part of Elef Production and Music Hall for 6 years Aleph shared stages with artists from so many different musical backgrounds. His influences of Tango, Flamenco, Gipsy Jazz, legends of Oriental music and Cuban music from the 60s give him his unique hybrid and authentic style.
In conclusion, Aleph’s performance is not only perceived as a recital, but as a show; delivered in the highest quality and amusement. His motto is, “God gives me the inspiration and I translate it”.
Aleph is the main pianist and bandleader of the well know Arabic version of “This is how we sing” (“heik men ghane”) on MTV Lebanon, a prime time show that airs on Saturday nights.
