À propos
Arthur Ira Garfunkel, better known as Art Garfunkel, is a US singer born on 5 November 1941 in Forest Hill in New York (Queens).
He met Paul Simon, who would be his musical partner from 1956 until 1960, in the band Tom & Jerry. The two musicians collaborated again from 1963 until 1970, under the name of Simon and Garfunkel, and became one of the biggest duos in 1960s pop music.
Art Garfunkel released a series of solo albums in the 1970s. His 1981 album, Scissors Cut, was not commercially successful, and he went back to work with Simon, making The
Concert in Central Park, a live album recorded in New York. In early 2007, he released Some Enchanted Evening on Rhino.
As a major musical figure, Art has lost none of his star quality and could well have something else up his sleeve for music fans in the near future.
