    Rebecca Malope is a South African gospel singer. She hosts the TV show "It's Gospel Time."[1] Rebecca’s story starts in 1986. Driven by a burning desire to become South Africa’s most celebrated and admired songstress, Rebecca, then 21 years old, and her sister Cynthia, left their home township of Lekazi near Nelspruit and hiked 400 km to Evaton from where they finally reached Johannesburg. This brave step launched a personal journey of achievement that was destined to touch the hearts and minds of millions. In 2003 she won a KORA All African Music Award for Best Gospel Singer.

    A legend of South African music, this talented singer has earned multiple awards, provided amazing performances at the Annual Music Expo in Germany, Nigeria, Kenya, as well as a tour of the UK. Produced 32 top selling albums.

    Rebecca’s staying power remains un-rivalled, earning a devoted fan-base who has remained loyal to this artist for over 30 years. Having recorded lyrics in Shangaan, Tswana, Zulu as well as English Rebecca reveals “Of course I am always trying to bring the word of God to as many people as possible through my music, so singing in a variety of languages plays an important role”
