    À propos

Granted the Lebanese Achievement Medal and graduated from the Paris Conservatory, Tania Kassis is very sensitive to the religious and cultural dialogue. Her enthralling voice and her musical style have reached countries all around the world including France, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Argentina, South Korea … and her native land Lebanon. She paid tribute to Gibran Khalil Gibran in New York and at the UNESCO Palace in Paris. She has been very much appreciated for her Islamo-Christian AVE (an Ave Maria mixed with the Muezzin "Allah Akbar") that became her biggest hit!

She performed at the big Opening of the VIth Francophony Games that took place at the "Cité Sportive" Stadium in Beirut and that was attended by 30,000 persons as well as the Lebanese President Michel Sleimane, the French Prime Minister François Fillon, Mr. Abdou Diouf, the Prince Albert II of Monaco and other Lebanese and international personalities.
In February 2010, she performed at the Martyrs’ Square in Beirut in front of over 200,000 people. Following this event, the Pope Benoit XVI asked Prime Minister Saad Hariri a copy of the common prayer “Islamo-Cristian AVE”.
In June 2011, Tania Kassis triumphed at the Beirut Music & Arts Festival with a unique Latino-Oriental repertoire, ranging from Jazz to Bossa Nova passing by Tango, sharing the stage with Latino dancers. The Lebanese audience discovered then an accomplished artist whose repertoire goes beyond frontiers.
Her interest for the cultures of the world had brought her close to South Korea. Invited on an official visit to Seoul, she met several political and military figures. The Korean public discovered her at the opening of a major Baseball game during which she sang the South Korea National Anthem! Then, she was on newspapers covers and had a great success in the most popular TV show of the country “Starking”. Following this trip, Tania Kassis was appointed Honorary Ambassador of the South Korean Contingent of the United Nations Interim Forces in Lebanon. She has launched 2 CDs: a single including her famous “Islamo-Christian AVE” and her album “Oriental Colors” featuring beautiful compositions by Elias Rahbani, Michel Fadel, Jad Mhanna and DJ Said Mrad including “One Last Dance”, "Ounchoudat Bayrout", "Trabak Ya Lebnan" and especially "Jerusalem" written and composed by Tania Kassis herself.
Recently, Tania Kasis was appointed the Godmother of the "Beirut Rose".
